This month has been a pretty fun month. Hannah now understands that Santa is going to bring her presents. She just doesn't get the concept that if she is naughty Santa is not going to bring her anything. Some of the activites that we were able to do this month included visiting dad at the fire station. We also went down town to see the Christmas lights right before it decided to get REALLY cold. We have had a couple Christmas parties, which Hannah was able to sit on Santa's lap. Christmas is a time that you can reflect on memories and start new traditions. It is also a time when you appreciate what you have. One book that Nate and I have read this season is the Christmas Jar (would highly recommend it). It makes you grateful for what you have, and what you are able to give others. The kids loved seeing the lights. After words we went out to eat and had hot chocolate. The kids putting up their ornaments for this year. Visiting dad at the fire station. (Hannah loves to be able to talk to dad with the head phones on in the fire truck) WE HOPE EVERYONE HAS A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

For the Thanksgiving holiday we traveled down to Manti and spent the weekend at Colette and Karls house. Grandma and Grandpa Pickett came down for a couple of days as well. Thanksgiving dinner was yummy as always, nothing beats a turkey roll! On Friday we went down to mainstreet and watched the Parade of Lights. Its the best parade ever because its over in 20 minutes. Then we ran over to Manti High School where we enjoyed the sounds off the high school choir and and old man quartet. There was soup, hot chocolate and best of all, scones. Be sure to get there early because seating is limited. Over the course of the weekend, Colette,Karl,Nate and Jerilyn spent many hours entrenched in epic battles as each tried to overthrow governments, sieze countries and conquer the world in order to establish their dictatorship. Ya, its called 4 losers and the game of Risk. Its too bad one person did not get to taste sweet victory. The Rocks ventured into the mountains on Saturday to assist the Cox family in finding that perfect Christmas tree. We also heard REPEATEDLY how we should have been getting one for ourselves. The kids had the most fun when we came across a patch of snow where they were able to get out the sleds and play. Uncle Nate enternained the youngins while Karl used all of his energy in attempt to hack down a tree. Turns out the chainsaw works better when the chain is not on backwards. It was a 3 hour trip but a good time was had by all.

Here's a few pictures from last weekends Disney on Ice. Hannah really enjoyed it, especially the part with Mulan. We had great seats on the eight row and I didn' think the price was bad. What was horrible was Cotton Candy for $10, a snow cone for $10. I was determined to by nothing but Jerilyn broke down and bought a drink for $8. I will admit it was worth it because of how much Hannah enjoyed it. She still talks about it and says "maybe we can go again."

Hannah turned 3 this last week and Brendan will be 1 in a couple of weeks. We celebrated their birthdays with the Picketts at our Halloween party since everyone was together. The kids had spiderweb cupcakes and Brendan had his first go at a whole cake, he didn't show much interest though. We celebrated again with the rocks at our house this last Sunday. This time Brendan really dug into the cake like he's supposed to makiing a big mess. Both parties were a lot of fun. Hannah has loved her new princess dress ups, her Ariel doll and Mulan DVD. Brendans favorite toy turned out to be ballons. Don't even try to take them away from him-ask Jerilyn.
I know it's a little late but here are our Halloween pictures. When we were at Stephanies Hannah loved using the carving knife to stab Brendan's pumpkin. Both kids enjoyed Halloween night. We had decent weather just long enough to get us up one side of the street and then back. Nate wanted to be home because he was excited for kids to come to the house. We thought we were festive with our Gravekeeper guy and flying ghost. Hannah's favorite was the Skull. His eyes lit up and jaw moved when you talked into the microphone attached to him.

Summer Fun

These are just photos of some fun activities we did over the last summer. We got the 4 wheelers this spring and Hannah has sure enjoyed them. This picture is from riding with Steph and Troys family out at 5 mile pass. We had Firefighters day at Lagoon in July. It was hot but that didn't seem to keep Hannah from having fun. We brought Brendan along but he mostly slept in the stroller. The last picture was from a trip down to Manti. We stayed up at Colette and Karls cabin. We took the 4 wheelers out the first day and had a lot of fun, however the next day was nothing but rain so we packed up and went to Colette's house.

Man I love bloggin!

We've finally started a blog, yeah! I just thought I should post a picture to show you how much fun I've been having trying to get all of this set up.
